DAMIEN FOUNDATION INDIA TRUST​
The leprosy control programme is implemented by Damien Foundation India Trust (DFIT) in 6 States (Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Delhi, Bihar and Jharkhand) across the country, through its own three hospitals (AP- Nellore, Delhi and Bihar – Dehri on sone), five partnership project hospitals (TN- Salem, Trichy, Karnataka -Pavagada, Jharkhand- Dhanbad, Amda) among them six tertiary care facilities . There are 3 MCR footwear units (Nellore, Salem, Trichy). In four states (Bihar, Jharkhand, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka) 60 districts to covered 10 Disability Preventions and Medical Rehabilitation field teams and through its one rehabilitation home in Polambakkam Tamil Nadu for the persons affected by leprosy.
