Aruna is 12 years from Tandoor in the Rangareddy district of Telangana. He is a school drop-out child because he was limping past 2 years without any notified reason. Consulted in local hospitals but couldn’t identify the problem of dropping a leg. Aruna’s parents are farmers, by seeing their only son’s health condition they took him to bigger hospitals in Hyderabad many times, with the advice of an orthopedic surgeon, finally, they reached GLRA’s partner hospital “Sivananda Rehabilitation Home, Hyderabad” where he diagnosed with MB leprosy and foot drop on left leg.
In addition to MDT, Aruna was admitted for 3 months for physiotherapy which helped him to recover partially, and with a support of a spring show, he went back to school to continue studies. Later he has undergone RCS and regained functional improvement.
