A 30-year-old beneficiary came to RC Sendhwa in September 2021.
Findings- Anaesthetic patch on the right hand. Nerve function assessment VMT ST normal. The right ulnar nerve thickened.
As per the diagnosis and after counseling treatment started, he observe that after 3 months of treatment something is enlarged like a cyst with pain in the near elbow & just above the joints particular area (ulnar nerve)
RC team observed during the follow-up that he developed a nerve abscess in the right ulnar nerve. The team started steroids as per the WHO protocol per the consultation of the medical officer. Nerve function assessment (VMT – ST) is still normal. As per the severity of the abscess, the team refers him to SJLC for surgical advice.
In the month of December 2021 surgery done. Tenderness and pain recover without any secondary complications. Now he feels better and doing the regular treatment.
